Canadian artist, Wendy Kroeker (Erhardt) earned her diploma in Applied Arts, design and illustration at Red River Community College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked in the advertising industry for several years and then chose to pursue fine art painting during the years she was at home with her children. Wendy has remained in the fine art industry after the children eventually moved out and established homes of their own. Wendy is an accomplished artist and an experienced instructor in watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media. She is well known and respected for her techniques and teaching skills. She has taught workshops in Winnipeg, throughout Manitoba and Ontario. She taught 6 years at the International Arts and Music Camp in the USA and has also taught workshops in Mexico. She has been painting and teaching professionally for 30 years. Wendy loves everything visual and enjoys painting in contemporary impressionism, and abstract. Rural and urban scenes are her subjects of choice especially scenes from Canada, Mexico and Cuba.
Her works can be found in several corporate and government offices at home and abroad.
Wendy feels that, “For her painting pictures is one way to suspend eternally a fleeting moment when light and colour are perfect.” This is one of her greatest pleasures that she loves to share with others.
