Kerri combines her life-long appreciation for all things vintage with her love of animals, to create nostalgic vignettes with a contemporary twist. From the moment she was old enough to pick up a pencil and jam it straight in her cheek, she knew she’d found her calling. In college she studied visual art, design and animation, which eventually led to a career in art direction and graphic design.
Growing up exploring the seashore and mossy forests of the West Coast of British Columbia gave her a healthy appreciation for Mother Nature and all her critters, many of whom feature prominently in her pieces. Seasonal themes often percolate through, influenced by childhood rainy days spent poring over stacks of exquisitely illustrated vintage children’s books, old family scrapbooks and holiday heirlooms.
Kerri works in pencil, ink, watercolour and acrylics, using both traditional and digital methods, and her licensed illustrations grace a variety of products from wall decor, to designer goods and stationery. She calls the Vancouver area of British Columbia home, and when not in her studio, you may find her searching for vintage treasures, or combing the local beaches with her furry friend Zee.
