Marcelo Silva comes from a Portuguese family with a long tradition of art appreciation. He started painting during his early teens and quickly developed a distinctive style. Focusing on creating his signature landscapes, Marcelo's compositions are always rendered with a sophisticated and rich palette. Marcelo selects his subject matters from books, photographs and places he visits.
He continues to find inspiration in natural surroundings and is an artist of sun and shadows, of seascapes, landscapes and city scenes. He considers himself privileged to have beheld beauty and art in the rich cultural backdrop of Europe, and continues to travel to find new scenery to paint.
