Brett Aniballi has had an appreciation for art at a young age but did not acquire a real interest in photography until he took a crazy but memorable family motor-home trip to many of the grand National Parks in the American west. Coming from the flatlands of Illinois it was a trip of unforgettable beauty and excitement. Fortunately his dad equipped him with a Kodak Instamatic camera to record the fleeting scenery in the whirlwind trip. "The natural world is so beautiful and diverse. I love the searching and wandering, looking for any dramatic photo opportunity that presents itself, being aware of the changing light and how it interplays on the landscape, then reacting to it." Brett received an A.S. Degree in Photography from the Southeastern Center for Photographic Studies. Brett worked in commercial photography studios for 8 years then decided to pursue his true photographic passion; shooting landscapes of North America in the tradition of the "west coast style". To greater emphasize the composition, light and texture of detail in his images, Brett prefers to shoot with black and white.
Brett has shown his images in many galleries and art shows around the U.S. while winning more than 50 awards on his journeys.
